It’s really strange placing my thoughts on a screen for people to read; I’m trying to do this more to give me a place to reflect on the information I’ve learnt and to help others.
To start out, and throwing it out there, all of this content is my own; I’m not a professional trader who’s trying to make money out of people, give them suggestive trades to make like an indicator service or to even fully have feedback, it’s outlay to get what’s in my head down on paper, and some of it might be junk, who knows!
I’m based in the UK, a dad of 2 wonderful children, and a very patient wife who sees my head in a book of charts, other books she has lying around and kicks, and YT videos of content or the courses I am on. It’s always a journey of study.

I’ve always had a vested interest in trading for around 10 years, mainly in the FX market, where I find it the most liquid and momentum can be sluggish one day and racing the next; this could also come down to hours. Back in the early days, I started, like most, on baby pips; it’s a great starting point for a trading journey; this one is FX-focused, but most of the style and knowledge you gain from here can be reused if you want to branch out as a starting point.
I wanted to find a paid-for course that suited me as a person, not just to get some groundwork but also to allow it to work around my busy lifestyle. I’m not looking to jump away from my primary income and dive into trading full-time; I wanted to make it work around my work life.
I found a book on Amazon published by Anna Coulling. It was a simple ‘How to Trade the Forex Markets’ and was a great start to learning some basics (I also love a physical book).

Anna touches on her methodology of VPA, Volume Price Analysis, and it seems a rational approach to reading the markets in general. From there, I grabbed her next book, which was dedicated to VPA, and read more charts along the way.
This continued for a few years, but time eluded me, and I pulled away from trading a little bit. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I decided to bite the bullet and join Anna and David’s entire Forex course. It had plenty of content and came with various self-developed indicators as well. I’m still getting through the videos and course materials today and am applying them to a micro-lot account that I spun up.

So, in this blog… my aim is to try and knock down some of my trading decisions, things I have learnt, and anything that keeps my head in the game while I’m learning; for me, that’s key. I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning, but at least it’s a dedicated name, resource, and idea place where I can muse about my journey. I could even call it my trading journal, which I can reference!
When I come across books or places I am interested in, I will share them and give feedback!
Hopefully, you will enjoy the content, and if you take one thing away from it that you could try in your own journey, then perfect. My mission is complete!
